Providing a Forum for Western New England's Energy Issues

We are very excited to kick-off our 2nd year of the Association of Energy Engineers Connecticut Chapter (AEE-CT) serving the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts areas. 

We are funded by monthly meetings, Corporate Sponsorship and fund raiser events for so there are no annual chapter membership dues.  This means that anyone interested in energy efficiency, the AEE-CT Chapter or a specific meeting topic can attend.  Corporate Sponsors enjoy special benefits and more detail can be obtained at the AEE-CT website.  Interested parties are encouraged to join the AEE national organization, information about AEE can be found at  http://www.aeecenter.org/membership/

November 17 AEE Connecticut Meeting: Emerging Technologies Night Our November 17 meeting will be the Technologies Night. Eleven presenters have been selected to present their technologies during the meeting in a rapid-fire format, and prior to the meeting will also be the emerging technologies exhibits during the networking hour (5:00 to 6:00). We have a diverse range of energy technologies and tools for presentation and display that includes:

• Modulating infrared heating

• LED lighting advancements

• High efficiency heat pumps

• High-speed air power analysis

• Pressurized condenser misting

• Combined Heat & Power

• Monitoring-based commissioning

• Ground loop heat exchange

• Multiplexed Sensing Technology

• Energy recovery compressors

• Induction Lighting

For this meeting our definition of Emerging Technology is:

Technologies that are beyond the prototype stage, commercially available, have proven field use, but are not yet widely known or used. Technologies may also include advances in features, cost, or services. The intent is exposure to a number of technologies that are technically sound, proven, and available for immediate beneficial use.
