Training and Certification Program

Our AEE® Connecticut Chapter is pleased to announce a first-ever, in-depth, month-to-month training and certification program for these most essential skills and credentials in our industry. This program has been designed and developed by Bill Leahy, our AEE® Connecticut Education Chairman, who is by day Professor William Leahy, Chief Executive Director for Operations of the Institute for Sustainable Energy at Eastern Connecticut State University.
With his insight and experience as a professional educator, Bill has developed a genuine learning and training program that will expand on the certified AEE courses with teaching from experienced regional energy professionals, include monthly AEE® Connecticut content, and allow attendees time to absorb and apply skills and information through the duration of the program, for a more thorough and effective education.
The first stage will be the CEA course, running from February through May of 2012, followed by the CEM course (which will be a continuation of the CEA), running for an additional six months beginning in September 2012. Classes will be held once per month 1:00PM to 4:00PM at Northeast Utilities in Berlin, CT. At the conclusion of the monthly trainings, students will attend 3-day AEE preparatory courses and exams as administered by certified AEE trainers.
